I received this drum after returning a Mali Master with a split head skin. Although this one is a touch tall at 26", its height is easily managed. The drum is extremely well-constructed, the skin is stretched and tuned well, and the 13+-inch head is a joy to play. Crystal clear slaps, very good tones, plenty of volume, and the bass just rolls out with a rumble when the drum is leaned a bit. No, it is not 'made in West Africa', but it is a great tool that fits well into an ensemble, drum circle, band, etc, at a great price. I am very pleased. This was a good purchase decision, and I would not hesitate to buy from these nice folks again!
